Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister, as well as a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sporting career with a Muay Thai boxer. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was 3-0 after winning the second-round TKO. The next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on boxing. She made her return against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. Antonina Shevchenko was given the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was given the UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko won the fight with a unanimous decision. She losing her following fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night bonus during the bout. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
