Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking from a young age. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was impossible to learn how to do, or even work hard enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. It was during this time that her experience in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, which has had an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she promotes children with diabetes and awareness. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation as part of her mentorship role. Anne has, through her whole culinary journey has stated that it is a privilege to be in a position to share her passion for the food industry with people.
