Sasha Allen is the sole transgender person who has made it through this year's Battle Rounds of The Voice Live Shows. This has been the case over the course of 21 seasons. Newtown's pair, Jim and Sasha Allen are currently in the top 8 during the 21-year run of the live shows on The Voice! Sasha declared that he's transgender when he presented their audition package during the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com it was a quick decision. Sasha transitioned in highschool and stated that it was difficult to reveal such the vulnerability of his character before so many individuals. The support of the fans as well as the effects that this affected people despite the fact that the choice was difficult to take it was what ultimately has convinced Sasha that his decision was worthwhile. The song was performed before The Voice even existed. It was a great surprise. We knew the song. were familiar with; it was a song that we had already thought of arranging.
